The WWE's decision to release Shelton Benjamin is the UFWL's gain as we make him our 37th draft pick. No member of the current generation of professional wrestlers has the moves and excitement of Shelton. He was great as a tag team wrestler, and the WWE never really gave him the chance to be anything more than a mid card champion.
Sure he had big runs with the WWE US title, and again with the IC belt, and again in ECW but he was never given the chance to shine and we here at the UFWL plan to give him a big chance to prove that he can be the man.
We expect Benjamin to be a force in our North American division and engage in meaningful feuds with our other super stars.
